Our story · Since 2020
A room full of sound became Audiofreq.
Growing up in the 1970s, I developed a deep appreciation for music and the equipment that reproduced it — an appreciation that has followed me throughout my life. In 2020, a friend and I were running around when we found a Pioneer SX-6000. From there, we started collecting whatever we could get our hands on, and before long we had a whole room stacked floor-to-ceiling with stereo equipment.
That room led to the decision to start Audiofreq Electronics. We began by selling equipment, and selling naturally led into repairing it. Today, we buy, sell, and trade, along with a service department that handles maintenance, minor repairs, and complete rebuilds.
We deal mainly in vintage analog power and sound equipment, but not exclusively. It started as a labor of love and always will be. We’ll see what the future holds for us — but look for AF mono blocks sometime soon. Until then…
